Hannah was the second wife of Elkanah, taunted by his first wife because she had no children. After fervent prayer and a prophesy, she conceived and had a son. This son was dedicated to the Lord, given to the priests and became the prophet Samuel. Why would a mother do this? How did the Lord bless her for doing it?
